Resize images without stretching
Fit an image within a width and height while preserving its aspect ratio. Preview the new pixel dimensions and download locally.
Start with a common maximum: 20 KB / 50 KB / 100 KB / 200 KB / 500 KB. Links set the KB limit only. Changing a limit keeps your selected image; apply again to refresh the result.
Need a pixel limit too? Open Optional maximum dimensions and enter a width, height or both; proportions are kept and images are never enlarged. Choose a format your upload accepts: JPEG suits photos, WebP supports transparency, and PNG may need smaller dimensions to meet a tight limit. Always check the actual size and preview; a limit is not guaranteed.
The right dimensions, with the original proportions
Enter a maximum width, a maximum height, or both. The image fits inside that box without stretching or enlargement. Leave a field empty to keep that dimension unconstrained.

A practical example
A 4,000 × 3,000 photo fitted within 1,200 × 1,200 pixels becomes 1,200 × 900. To make a square instead, use Crop & rotate and select the 1:1 ratio.
Common questions
Why does my result not match both numbers exactly?
Width and height define a bounding box. The editor preserves the image’s proportions, so one side may be smaller than the limit.
Can I enlarge a small picture?
This tool reduces dimensions only. Enlarging a small image adds pixels without recovering detail; the original dimensions are kept when your limits are larger.
Does resizing also reduce file size?
Usually fewer pixels produce a smaller file, but the output format and quality also matter. Use Compress when a specific KB limit is required.
Each file is limited to 20 MB and 25 megapixels to keep processing practical on mobile devices. Browser encoding can change color profiles and quality. Check the preview and retain your original.
